When I use Windows on a laptop or netbook with a small screen, I find there is never enough screen space. You see half a web page or a tiny part of the document you are editing.
You can shrink the borders and buttons of Windows to leave more space for the stuff you want to see. To do this, right-click the Desktop and click Personalize. Click Window Color, then ‘Advanced appearance settings’.
In the window displayed, you can choose elements of your Desktop, such as the Active Title Bar and Caption Buttons, from the drop-down menu and reduce their size to about 15.
The Border Padding can be set to zero, the Menu and Title Bar fonts can be set to 8, and so on. The preview display gives you an idea of what everything will look like. Click Apply when you are happy.
